All girls are welcome to come join us. We have Daisies, Brownies, and Jr. Girl Scouts in this troop!

All Girl Scouts will meet together at the beginning for the oath and promise and then we will separate to work on our separate level journeys and meet to end each meeting together.

PAST EVENTS

  • August 25- This was our first meeting of the new year. We discussed outings and what each girl will need.

1. Parents will go to the GSWRC office at 2277 Executive Drive, call for hours 859.293.2621

to buy a copy of Brownie Quest (for Brownies) or Agent of Change (for Juniors) or Welcome to the Daisy Garden (if any Daisies are coming along). The books cost $7.00. Bring them to the next meeting and we will get started on the 1st journey together.

2. The girls decided on 2 possible field trips for this month-both on the same day. If you wish to participate, each parent is responsible for signing up and paying themselves.

    Saturday, September 13, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    Cost is $12.00 per girl. Make check payable to: Troop 41.
    Cost is $7.00 per skater. Send Fee with Registration. Make check(s) payable to: GSWRC.

    Enjoy a fun filled day making your own teddy bear and sipping tea. Confirmation letter to be sent up receipt of registration. Patch included. No tag-a-longs.

    Dress for ice skating. Wear gloves, long pants, long sleeves etc. Bring money for concession stand.

    Join us in celebrating the 2008 and 2010 Olympics. Discover Chinese and Canadian culture thourgh fun activities and ice skating. * Must be registered for Girl Scout year 2008-2009!! Confirmation letter to be sent upon receipt of registration. Patch included. No tag-a-longs.     3. If we have at least 10 girls, we would like to make a troop field trip to Camp Shawano's Climbing Tower on Wednesday, 10/22/08. Please let me know ASAP if any girls are interested Sheila . We didn't talk about whether morning or afternoon would be better but I'm voting for morning. Let me know what you think. It's $12.00 per scout.

    4. We will have more information about the Fall Product http://www.gswrc.org/Fall%20Product/fallproductmain.htm at the next meeting. Order taking begins 9/19 and ends 10/20.

    5. Be thinking about whether you would like to ride or walk in the Christmas parade on 11/29/08 at 5:30 p.m.

    6. There is a Service Meeting at the GSWRC office on Tuesday, 9/2/08 at 6:00 p.m. Sheila is unable to go, please let her know if you can go in her place,click here to email Sheila.
